On the bus, on my way home from the pub, there were two lassies yapping away, they were very loud and it was really annoying me....They started talking about piercings when one of them said ' I've had to get my ears done 3 times cause the hole kept closing' so i turned round and said 'Well its a pity you never got your mouth pierced then'.......Peace and quiet all the way home after that.....

I feel bad now for saying that ...should i have just kept my mouth shut and said nothing or was i right to pipe up?

right on Scotty, why do people have to talk so loud on the bus, I almost told one kid to shut her trap when I was reading a book, but I'm not as brave as you are.lol

No, they yak away so loud without thinking no-one else within 100 yards wants to listen to their inane ramblings. I was trying to eat my lunch at work the other day and this bunch of goths were going on about their mouth infections from their stupid mouth piercings, i wish i had told them to swill with bleach. So good for you i say!

Well had I been one of the Lassies I would have been red in the face.

As another passenger I would have applauded you and laughed until I fell out of my seat.

Offense is relative. Don't apologize for saying things everyone else was thinking.

Um, I don't know if I was doing it right, but we kept open mouthed kissing then like touching tongues. I thought it was where one person kind of puts their lips around the other persons lips? I dunno ;D when it actually happens, you forget about how people say you should do it and you just do it your own way to be honest. Hope I helped :) x

Sometimes people just make a quip so hard to resist... I look at is this way... If the lassies did not tell you to shut up, why worry?

Do you think you'll ever see them again? If not, I wouldn't worry about it. If so, just ask them for their forgiveness. After all, Fr. Murphy and Mother Superior should have better manners while riding public transit.

If the other passengers were irritated by these girls, then you were right to tell them to shut up. If I had been on that bus, I would have clapped and cheered!

You aren't wrong for voicing your sentiment.

How you voiced your sentiment, that is another issue. I found it rather funny, and oddly effective.

Public transportation doesn't mean public annoyance. Their is such a thing as manners on public conveyances.

Hey you were entitled to give an opinion. Guess they just didn't see the funny side of it. At least it got them to shut up.
