I hope some one can advise me on bushes that only get 6ft. in height and that doesn't take up length wise.

I don't recommend honeysuckle: While the flowers are nice and I've drank my share of the nectar, the vine can get invasive.

I personally would suggest holly.

Do not get Mountain Laurel for your hedge, it grows tall and wide.
