I turned 21 during WW2 and my Dad sent me a large can of Pineapple Juice, or so I thought. He had laboriously removed the label, punched a small hole in the can, emptied its contents, dried out the can and filled it with Scotch Whiskey. He then soldered the hole, pasted the label back on and sent it to me with all kinds of Cookies my sisters had made for me and some canned goodies. I will never forget the day the package arrived, and I discovered what he had done. I cried like a baby at his being thoughtful and wanting me to have some medicine as he described it in a letter. It was freezing cold in Germany that Winter and I can tell you it saved my life.

When I was eight my mother let me skip school (the teacher had given her the okay). We went to Mc Donald's and saw The Little Mermaid. Afterwards we went to a different Mc Donald's. She said she was going in there to find out when they come out with the new Happy Meal toys since I had Eric and wanted Ariel. She then brought me inside and it turned out that she had planned a surprise party for me at the Mc Donald's. All of my friends and some of my dear classmates were there(by that time school was already out for the day). My mother remembered when I had mentioned once a few months prior to this that I thought it would be cool to have a surprise party. Well I was surprised.

My sweet 16th birthday many many many yrs ago LOL....
My boyfriend was in Fl and he came home for my bday I didnt know he was in. Til he pulled up and walked in the house. With Red shirt, White pants and some red underwear. Everyone at my house could see straight threw those white pants!!! WHOOO HOOOO Sexy!!!

I really love perfume and one year my children gave a big party for me and told everyone to bring a different perfume.
I got 30 different kind and loved every one of them. It was a big surprise.

...eating the maraschino cherries off my cherry chip, cherry icing cake!!! Yum!!!
And years later, my husband made me a pink, cherry chip turtle-shaped cake for my birthday.
