Mt husband has something similar to this - more when he has been driving though. His doctor told him his knee cartilage was wearing out.
He got Physio treatment & a range of exercises - which when he remembers to do them still help (after 20 years!)
He has found that hot then cold packs (alternate about 20 minutes apiece) help though!

Burning does tend to indicate injury, it could be some minor swelling. When there is damage to any ligaments or cartilage your body will send a supply of blood in order to try and repair it which could be the cause of the burning or hot feeling. It may be that you didn't let the original injury heal properly and that means your ligaments have healed in a criss cross direction instead of straight making them weaker. Good luck I'm sure you will be fine.

This sounds like what they call, in the medical profession, as 'wear and tear'. My mum started off with this problem in her 70s; in her case, it was the onset of arthritis and, eventually, she had both her knee-joints replaced.

In your case, and I guess you're a fairly young person, this could simply be a result of the previous injuries you mention. I shouldn't imagine you'll end up with knee replacements as, by the time you reach 70+, any cartilage damage or 'wear and tear', would be remedied by the new synthetic treatments in progress. As for now, you'll probably get some physio or hydro-therapy - depending what's available in your area.

Advice from my mum: Keep moving, no matter how painful it may be. Don't over-strain and, MOST important, don't lie down and NOT move ... You'll end up with stiff joints and even more pain!

Good luck!

Imagine for a moment your arthritis completely vanishing right now. If, in a moment, your pain and stiffness melted away. And your joints all of a sudden functioned like a well-oiled machine. Like a magic wand was waived, you'd be able to jump up from your chair and run around the room like a kid. And imagine that you'd never have to suffer as much as a pinch of arthritis stiffness or pain ever again. I know this sounds impossible right now, but bear with me, because sometimes miracles happen. It was a gift from a woman on the other side of the world. From the kindness of her heart, she took pity on my suffering and taught me how to completely reverse my arthritis. Today, I want to do the same for you!

My gran used to complain of this burning sensation in her knee when walking.

Her problem was that she had bone growth in her knee muscles.

They hacked them out of her knee and she couldn't walk properly for about a year.

A burning feeling would indicate a nerve is involved. Good luck with your knee and appointment.

Monday is almost here. So see a doctor. You may have more damage. You need to get a doctor's opinion.

Arthritis, bursitis, or inflammation.

Put ice on it periodically until you see the doctor.

Hope you feel better!
