They demand the same wages as men, however, there are many jobs that they couldn't do as well because they are the weaker gender. For example, construction work and police officers. Plus, you have to figure in women's emotional states affecting their output as well. I'm not saying women should do these jobs but if they did, do you really think they should be paid the same as men? If not, what percentage should they be paid when compared to men's salaries? 75%? 60%?

In most things they should, and do, get equal pay.

BUT

Women only want "Equal Pay for Equal Work" when it suits them.

At other times they want "Equal Pay for 60% of the work"

Just look at tennis for proof.

Same prize money for playing a MAXIMUM of 3 sets, when men play a MINIMUM OF 3 in the major tournaments

I cant speak for any other jobs, but in nursing-especially psychiatric nursing, I get right down there on the floor when someone needs to be put into restraints and I'm right there to give an out of control patient medication when it's necessary.
A lot of times the male nurses stand back and watch while the female nurses go in to subdue a violent patient. Equal pay for equal work? The male nurses get paid more than the female nurses. Is that fair?

Again, there is no 'weaker gender' only weaker people. And how are you to know what kind of or how much work they do? Females like to earn things, such as their pay, and so I have no doubt that a female would do all she can to do just as much as any male she works with. She would, will and probably does, push herself just as hard. And emotions are not things to be afraid or ashamed of, and with females being 'natural empathy's' as many say, for her to do some work to get inside a person would be a very good thing and something males cannot or at least DO not do as well as females. And for something like construction work, well, the boss of the project tend to get paid more and do less work, so what does that tell you??? Females can control their emotions, use them for the better and be very professional about everything, so I would NOT put that into this

yes, i think they do equal work. they also deserve equal pay for it too. dont get me wrong there are slackers out there who dont deserve to get full pay but that goes for both genders as both are gulity of it not just one. however, if a man gives 100% effort and a woman gives 100% effort, they should get 100% pay. many women to this day are discriminated against because of their gender. it is not right. companies can get by with it too because all they have to say is well we dont need anyone right now or we are cutting back or anything like that. i am a man and i have been discriminated against on a job so it goes both ways. so to answer your question. men and women do equal work. good luck.

Yes, women should be paid equal to men. Unfortunately, in our society they are not paid at the same rate as men. Women on average have to work 16mths to equal a 12mth salary of a man. This statistic is based on all job types physical or otherwise. As far as the stronger sex, have you ever been in child birth- think of that when you are forklifting. As far as emotions, everyone should have them unless they are a sociopath.

I think it all depends on the job and what the employer bases the salary on. If you are talking physical jobs only, perhaps most women aren't as strong as some of the men, and perhaps they do their jobs slower. But does the employer look at quantity only, or does the employer look at quality? There's also consistancy. Does the employee continually maintain the same quantity and quality of production? In the world of employment, salary should not be defined by one's gender, but the quality and quantity of work they do. It should be based on the individual only.

I believe that if a person can do the same job, have the same qualifications and the same abilities, then they should be entitled to equal pay regardless of them being either a women or man.

Oh please. You try squeezing out something the size of a large bag of sugar out of a very small opening in your body, and then you tell me who's the stronger sex.

And for the record, most women - especially mothers - do much more work than men. We have to be personal chefs, psychologists, on-call medics, maids, household accountants, at-home cleaners (laundry), tutors, scheduler coordinators, etc. And that's all without working outside the home. According to salary.com, a full-time stay-at-home mom would earn over $125,000 a year. So what was that you were saying again?
