Death is nothing at all
I have only slipped away into the next room
I am I and you are you
Whatever we were to each other
That we are still
Call me by my old familiar name
Speak to me in the easy way you always used
Put no difference into your tone
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow
Laugh as we always laughed
At the little jokes we always enjoyed together
Play, smile, think of me, pray for me
Let my name be ever the household word that it always was
Let it be spoken without effort
Without the ghost of a shadow in it
Life means all that it ever meant
It is the same as it ever was
There is absolute unbroken continuity
What is death but a negligible accident?
Why should I be out of mind
Because I am out of sight?
I am waiting for you for an interval
Somewhere very near
Just around the corner
All is well.
Nothing is past; nothing is lost
One brief moment and all will be as it was before
How we shall laugh at the trouble of parting when we meet again!

Oblivion ____________ it will be as though your personality never existed at all. When the Sun goes Supernova it will take planet earth and all the inner planets with it as gas and debris to the outer reaches of the galaxy where in billions of years it will be incorporated into another Star, Ad Infinitum.
Human beings are insignificant in the great plan of the cosmos.
Don't be sad..........be happy you existed and have had sentience, be good to other beings and enjoy your time in the radience of Sol.

I think there is nothing at all after death even though i am a catholic but i would like to think that your brain, in the final last moments, gives you an eternity of images to make you belive you have died and moved onto eternal bliss, gradually fading away into the nothing.
And after that maybe heaven (with gorgeous naked angels !!)

It's a revolving door, when you die you are reborn.
My Father was born in 1929 and died in 2005, however when he closed his eyes here for the last time his mother gave birth in 1929 and he gets to do it all over again, however he will think it's the first time around.
Is that a paradox or what?

Well if you want to know whats going to happen do this for me. Try and tell me what life felt like before you were born, what were you doing when there were dinosaurs? If you cant answer that then you have your answer you wont even know you died really there's no such things as souls what your thinking about is merely your brain in your body making that information when you die its nothing you go no where so dont think you can say well whats nothing you just wont even know you existed in the first place.

.... it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: (Hebrews 9v27)
for those who trust in Christ....
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,to an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. (1 Peter 1 3-5)
for those who ignore God's Word
the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power (2 Thess 1 7-9)
but God wants you to come to Him before it's too late
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3 16)

i dont know if there is a life after death.no one can prove us right or wrong can they, because you cant contact the dead.on one hand, once your concious body has died, what is there left to be aware of anything?however, if there is something after death, i think it would be kind of like the world we live in now, but without all of the problems we have now, and once you have lived out your life there, you 'die' again but then there is nothing; no awareness, no feelings, no thoughts, no senses.absolutely nothing.

Why waste time pondering a question which will be answered to all of us eventually. Surely the question is during life what next? The answer to this is different for all of us and surely more interesting and definitely more healthy.

I am hoping we spend eternity with our loved ones and friends in a perfect society. 2nd best would be reincarnation. 3rd would be nothing. I am afraid to die. I figure because i am only in my mid 20's. I hope that as I age I learn to cope and accept. I hope and pray often that their is an afterlife. I want my daughter and wife to live long lives and when they leave this planet. I want them to live on in happiness. I don't want to question my existence, but we all do.
