Assuming 100% recovery of aluminum from bauxite you multiply 712 kgs by the atomic weight of aluminum divided by the molecular weight of bauxite. The atomic weight of tow atoms of aluminum is 2*27=54 and the molecular weight of bauxite is 2*27+3*16=102
712*(54/102)=377 kg.
