Simple yet very hardcore...Marriage is one man and one woman taking the risk of not only spend their lives together as a couple and as a family but also is the true meaning of love. Sure there are many speed bumps to this such as cheating, lying, money problems and dissagreements with almost everything, but marriage is a sacred thing that two beings really share thier love for one another. If the spark is there, then a marriage can last a lifetime. Now these days marriage happens to be many wrong reasons such as being pregnant at an early age unexpected or unmoral things we do to on another such as abuse or cheating for stupid reasons. Overall, marriage should be taken sereously not as a game like most people do. Being happy for life with a mate is possible if you truely stay strong through ANY obstacle!

Two people can stay married when they realize marriage is hard work and not always happy. If you take out the fairytale on tv, then marriage will not end in divorce. You have happy times and unhappy times. You should be friends and lovers. Also, think of marriage like the relationship with your mother or father. You get pissed off at your mother sometimes and feel like they did this and did that, but you still love your mother and she's still in your life. Marriage is ups and downs.

The true meaning of marriage is confinement, jealousy, selfishness, child support, and virginamony... and its really sad that 62% end in divorce... would be 80% if you included marriages where men stay married because of the financial cost of divorce... so that leaves 20% that seem to be happy... 1 out of 5, not bad...

In my opinion, marriage is a legal contract between two people to become one family. It will not end in divorce if both parties honor the terms of this contract (love, honor, cherish, etc.). The two individuals can live happily ever after if they always honor their vows.

I think marraiage is a civil agreement that a institution bought about. It is possible that two individuals can live happily ever after. But sadly the odds are against it. Trust, respect and harmony are the foundation to a health relationship. Allow yourself to grow so you can have no regrets in the past, future and present. Remember you have a choice.

The true definition of marriage is when two people vow to be one anothers partner in good times and in bad. To be each others rock and not run as soon as things get tough. To respect and protect each other over anyone else and not let anything get in the way of that.

Marriage is hard work and dedication. Its love, devotion and honesty. It takes two to make a marriage work and it can be done through love and hard work. Many marriages do last and alot do end in divorce. But it is up to each couple whether it last or not.

Marriage is a word.
A relationship is a relationship is a relationship. If two people can live in perfect harmony, I would love to meet and learn from them. With hard work, patience, negotiation and communication (constant communication) any relationship can succeed.
Divorce is also just a word
It means "no longer married"
:-)

To me marriage is a goverment contract. A relationship(legal or not) is about two people who support each other. If they realize that supporting each other means even in the bad time, then yes.

my definition is when a man and woman public ally declare through a ceremony to god and others that they are a unit. they will form a family and be responsible to their family and each other according to societies standards. they will physically, emotionally, and spiritually become one and support each other. they will have specific roles in their marriage and responsibilities. Marriages that do not have a religious foundation and are based on lust ro fleeting meotions without realistic sacrifices and hard work are not successful.
