Depends on the situation, but I been told I give good advice. But I try to limit giving out to much advice.

I think I am. In some places. Sometimes I dont know what to do but most times I can give some good advice.

I'd certainly like to think I am. I think it's a big part of what drew me to Answers. It's true, I'm not a psychologist, a therapist or a counselor. I have no formal training in any of that. But, I have a wealth of life experiences to draw upon. I've made plenty of mistakes. I've been dealt some heavy blows. But I've survived & I'm now a lot stronger & a little bit wiser. I can also better appreciate the beauty in life. So, I like to pass along what I've learned, if it can help others. This may be more than you wanted to know, but I hope I've answered your question.

If the question that I am asked is of a subject that I am familiar with, then yes. I will not give advice on something that I know nothing about.

Yes, I think I am but it depends on what type of advice is needed. If it is about cooking,family,decorating,dog training,beauty, domestic violence.....building self esteem or Lupus, then I am great at it! I am a very compassionate person. I think being a good listener makes someone better at giving advice.

I've been an attorney since 1993. People pay good money to get my advice and they don't seem to mind. So I guess you could say I give good advice.

I prefer not to give advice to friends and family when the issue is personal relationships. I will listen to them, and sometimes ask questions to help them explore different avenues of thinking/problem solving, but I would rather not say "Do this, Do that".

I would like to think that people would at least take what I have to say into consideration. Am I good? I have been told that I am on many occasions. I don't consider taking it up as a career or anything though.
