Manual, and not only do I prefer it, but I WILL NOT purchase a vehicle with an automatic transmission. I actually don't know how to drive an automatic; the only time I've ever done it is in driver's ed in high school.

Definite standard transmission. Why? I like to enjoy driving that way. I get more control, and feel like the car's perform better. My 65 Dart has a 4-speed, My wife's 00 mustang has a 5 speed.

Much more fund to drive them than if they were automatic.

My 68 Plymouth, has an automatic, Its just fun to drive because of the 440CI engine I built in it. Lots of power even with automatic. Would like to convert it to a 6 speed, though. Maybe in time.

Automatic. I used to think only girls drove automatics and real men drove standards. Now I think its stupid. Automatics are so easy to drive and driving a standard is a beating in the city. also its hard to drag race in a standard. Those automatic guys just blow your doors off. I am in an automatic now and I watch the standard guys switching their gears it so obvious and funny.

I prefer driving stick... more control, more fun.... but don't forget there are now a lot of street cars that have tiptronic trannys... paddle shifters... no clutch. I've driven a Mini Cooper and BMW M3 with paddle shifters... interesting.
