Sounds like the choke is sticking spray the Linkage with wd40 and see if that helps, also add some STP cleaner to your gas tank. could be the carburetor float is getting stuck in the closed position. Have someone start the car then tap on the bowl area as it is dying out if it starts back up that is your problem

I can't remember but is that a Throttle body Injection car (1 injector in a housing above the manifold). If it is, you may have a faulty/dirty injector. Or possibly the fuel regulator may be faulty. Other things to test are all the sensors that affect mixture such as MAP, IAT, TPS, ect..

YOU SHOULD GET THE VEHICLES COMPUTER SCANNED AND CHECK FOR ANY PROBLEMS AS WELL AS CODES AND THEN YOU WILL HAVE A GOOD IDEA ON WHAT THE PROBLEM TRULY IS.

TRY FINDING AN INDEPENDENT SHOP INSTEAD OF THE DEALER OR A CHAIN STORE BECAUSE YOU WILL BE OVERALL MORE PLEASED WITH THE FINDINGS AND THE SERVICE.

LEAVE IT THERE WITH THEM SO THAT THEY CAN FIND THE PROBLEM FOR YOU, IT WILL BE A LOT BETTER THAN JUST REPLACING PART AFTER PART AND NOT DOING ANY GOOD.
