I put the mother in a pan until she gave birth to them. Now I am wondering why long it takes until they grow up and I can put them in the fish tank without being devoured by the big mean fish. It's easier to take care of them in the fish tank and my mom needs the pan to cook.

Long enough for them to develop the ability to defend themselves. Make sure that they aren't out of the "fry"ing pan and into the fire.

You shouldn't have used yours moms cooking ware to house your fry. Find a better home for them with a filter. If you dont have another tank with a filter go to your local fish store and by a net breeder of some sort (only like 5 bucks). Hook that to the side of your tank and out the fry in there.

To answer your question, you can put your fry in your main tank with everyone else when they have doubled in size(like a month), or until they wont be able to fit in your meaner fishes mouths. Hope this helps.

Return the female to the tank once she has given birth, You can put the fry in the tank as long as you have plants for the fry to hide in, Or you can buy Breeder nets/boxes that float in the tank, And i suggest you clean the pan 3-4 times after tropical water/fish being in it.

Good luck with your fry

well you at least have to wait about 2 months because they have to get big enough so the other fish can't eat them and if the other fishes's mouths are big enough to eat the baby guppies then dont put them in yet!

congrats at first
Usually about 4-6 weeks
My preferrable method is leaving the mom in the main tank, since I have lots of live plants in there and they provide perfect hiding spots for the fry
I also saw that they grow much faster and healthier in the main tank then in these breeders

Hope that helps
Good luck

You can put them back when they are big enough to not fit into any other fish's mouth, which will be a couple months.
