Well it's already factored so just set each factor equal to 0.

(2x - 87) (x +5) = 0

2x - 87 = 0
2x = 87
x = 87/2

and

x + 5 = 0
x = -5

So x = -5 or 87/2. You can verify this by plugging the solutions back in.
