If by larger you mean taller, that is somewhat of a myth. If you mean heavier, weight alone does not equal strength. Tall people can have some physics-type advantages over shorter people, such having longer limbs, which act as levers or fulcrums, perhaps allowing them to move larger weights more easily, but shorter people have a lower center of gravity, making them more difficult to knock over. The answer to strength lies not only in the amount of muscle tissue you have, but how you use it. Keep in mind, the brain is the seat of knowledge about the world, and while not a muscle, can give a littler person a distince advantage over a larger adversary.

Just as a bigger car is generally more powerful. Larger bodies are heavier and have bigger muscles. The simple job of going around one's daily life needs more exercise for the bigger body.

However, remember that an ant is strong on its scale too. Strength / weight ratio is independent of body mass.
