My father had told me: "Everybody in this world is weird, but he and I, are not. Sometimes he doubted about me being weird." He was kidding for sure, but it's a quote coming from old times.
What he wanted to say is that people usually think that everybody in their environment are weird or even stupid, but they are not themselves: They are the only smart ones.
