The Bush/Cheney/Rumsfelt/NeoCons group wanted to control Iraq. How do the USA control other countries? They install a puppet regime that will do their bidding.
They did it in Iran in 1956 and installed the Shah and they have done it in many many other countries. The war on terror is part of their method to keep wars going and to have a ready made way to justify them. It will not end until the American people get tired of paying for it.
GWB will try to keep the war going in some manner until he gets out of office. Then try to blame the democrats for whatever happens.
The draft is unpopular, so they will probably won't bring it back.

Arrogance, rude, fear, incompetence, emotion, etc.

War should be an absolute last resort.

It's abominable that Cheney avoided the draft for Vietnam when he said he supported the war.

The war should end soon but not while Bush puppet and Cheney puppet master are in the white house.

I stopped caring what Bush is doing because he is accountable to no one but Cheney. If they had any honor and/or integrity, they would reinstitute the draft. If this is such an important battle then the draft needs to be put in place.

Anyone who knows anything about the Middle East and how things are done there knows that Iraq was never a threat. Read From Beirut to Jerusalem by Thomas Friedman for evidence.

We are losing America as we knew it and not enough people seem to notice and/or care. It's a real shame.
Don't dismiss the other side. Do your homework first at least. Don't be so lazy!!!! Don't be so quick to rush to judgment.
Your perceptions and opinions may be wrong and it may catch up with you one day. Ignore and be lazy at your own peril.

War on Terror: Those assholes won as far as I'm concerned... I last flew out of Newark on 9/09/11.

The war on Terrorists will never end... they are stupid people looking for 32 sturgeons that they will never get.

Wda has to put in more troops because the stoopid Iraquis are not diligent enough to quash the uprisings.

NO, no more draft in America.

If the letitimate Middle Eastern countries would make a half-assed effort to break AlQuida, the world would be a better place. They don't. So why should all the "Blame" be placed on the US??

We have TWO interests in this war. One being obvious, oil trade and control of fuel pricing. The Second, a little more hid, is the Poppy trade and control of Heroin. No one will ever talk about that. TABOO. The war will not ever be ended because it will hand control back to Russia. That is who really was in control over the past few decades. There will be no more troops, just a rotation. No reason for a draft, too many people who can't get jobs out of high school will join for the check. That's why no real effort to change schooling. Got's to keep the gas and dope a flowin'.

Technically, Iraq violated the Nato treaty. Also, Sadaam was committing atrocities to his own people.
However, there are many, many countried that do the same or WORSE.
But then again, this is supposedly a war on terrorism. I personally don't see any progress being made in that department. In ways , I think it's worse. There are kidnappings and killing weekly overseas. I feel the war has fueled more hate towards the United States. Now, don't get me wrong. I am proud to be an American and thankful I live in this country. But i sometimes feel we as a country are a bully. I feel there is another reason, possible a wrong reason, behind the war in Iraq. Unfortunately, there are terrorists in many countries. I believe most are ignorant, uneducated and have a hate for certain things we do. However, whatever they believe in is SO strong, most are willing to DIE for it. I wish there were no terrorists and I understand a need for the military but wish there wasn't a need at all for it.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not in support of terrorism and am sickened anytime I hear about a bombing or kidnapping by terrorist groups. There is a definite need to stop terrorism. Extreme security measures in place is one way. Proven terrorists that have committed murder should be punished, most definitely. I don't believe invading one or two countries is the answer. Perhaps we should look at the choices we make that causes such hate towards us.
I wish I had more ideas on how to stop terrorists. Alot of them are probably brainwashed from a young age and bred to hate us. I don't really know. But enough people have died....Over 3,641 Americans have died because of this war. Over 60,000 Middle Easterns have died., many innocent, probably. I pray for peace and to give our government guidance to make the right choices because I imagine it's hard to know what exactly should be done. I pray that the killing of innocent citizens in Iraq will end and every last one of our soldiers will get home safely.

There is only 1 God, therefore, how can islam and christianity praise 1 God, if in reality there is more than 1? makes no sense.

The draft will not be put back.
Bush already put in more troops 4 weeks ago, if your keeping up with cable news. The iraq war will not end anytime soon.
Islam preaches war and death and the destruction of israel, they are expanding the war on terror, its not our fault other countries have to stop these mad delusional men.

The Iraq War began solely on ignorance. Iraq didn't take down the twin towers, the Pentagon, or the Penn plane. Osama did. The striking thing is, the government can wire tap, monitor websites like this, even put a man on the moon. But we can't find some hairy guy running around a desert with a diaper on his head. Really makes you think the Bush administration made a mistake.

The current administration is not going to pull out of Iraq. They are going to leave it for the next president to clean up. Why? Because they realize it was a huge mistake and they have no clue on how to fix it. But thousands of young men and women are dying over a mistake. Osama is in the mountains somewhere, not Iraq. We really messed up. But it wasn't when we went to war, it was when we elected this administration.

Sadam Hussein and his gamble to convince the world that he still had WMDs to scare the Iranians away from an invasion while Iraq was weak.

It is better to take the fight to the enemy.

It will not end in my lifetime.

There are no troops to put in - Clinton decreased the size of the Army by more then 50%.

Only if there is a major war (which is not likely in the near future)

The fifth column is the terrorist’s best friend

A document called Rebuilding America's defenses is a not so well known document that outlines the plans to expand americas defenses. Established in the spring of 1997, the Project for the New American Century is a nonprofit,
educational organization whose goal is to promote American global leadership.

http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/pdf/RebuildingAmericasDefenses.pdf

In the document, it outlines america's need of something like "pearl harbor" to unify the country against a single enemy. This unification would allow americans to accept reduced liberities under the guise of security.

Media manuplitation of the events surrounding 9/11 to build support by spreading lies, allowed the creation of the 'department of homeland security' fufilling some of the wishes expressed in the new american century document.

Read the document, and see exactly what they want... "The program we advocate – one that would provide America with forces to meet the strategic demands of the world’s sole superpower –"

A one world government, one super power, with america at the helm.

Other information regarding New American Century http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_for_the_New_American_Century

It has been well documented that members and contributers of the new american century include Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Steve Forbes, Scooter Libby, Jeb BUSH, and Paul Wolfowitz..

Looking at those names, are we to believe that President Bush was NOT influenced by those who wanted the war, who needed an excuse to go to war, and who would do anything they could to expand america's influence over the world.

Bush Sr, spoke to congress on 9/11/1991 (10 years to the day) about america entering into a new world order.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=7a9Syi12RJo

Bush's agreement made in 2005 creating the North American Union is only one step in the direction one world government. The NAU destorys america's soverignty as a nation, and ultimatly unifies Canada, Mexico and America.

(Bush will have another meeting in canada in august, and its expected to have several hundred thousand protesters there)

Most of the NAU steps will be rolled out in 2010, and does unify our monitary system (amero, kinda like the euro)
Part 2 & 3 of this movie looks at how it was done.

The real cause of the iraq war, is the ignorance of americans about what is really happening in their country. The real is the monopolized media that controls our information we receive. The real cause is the inactive citizens who do not take the responsibility of fighting for their freedoms into their own hands... We allow others to lead us down roads we do not wish to go down. We do nothing.

There will be a time, when people wake up, and see what is really happening.

My only hope is that when they do, it wont be too late.

I heard that our American troops are sent because of a personal vendetta of the president regarding political affairs with Sadam Heissein and Bush's father. Fact is, hx shows that a country/state/city will build the tallest building for that which it serves. The 9-11 attacks were that of financial buildings. Does this makes sense to anyone else besides me? Our safety is dependent on our gov't who reeks of wealth. Can this be our sign that maybe we, as a country, consider wealth more 'savouristic' than God. Might the attack be backed by those who put Allah first?
Considering that Iraq has governed their country by the ways of religion, it is my novice thought that getting Iraqis to change to democratic policies is starting a country all over. Look how long it has taken us to join into one nation!
