I had a dream I was a "dinosaur slayer" one time...that one was really weird. More weird than scary, but it still freaked me out. I was perfectly sober when I dreamt that too.

I actually used to have a recurring nightmare that stemmed from a real incident I read about in the paper while searching for something for current events. I was just a kid, about 10, and the whole concept back then of a father killing first his wife, then each of his children and then himself was just too much for my mind to grasp and that was the basis for my nightmare for years and years. I'd barely get out to get help and I'd wake up screaming...thank goodness it was my mom who came running cause seeing my dad would have sent me into hysterics. I stopped having that dream as soon as we moved to a new house.

I just recently had a nightmare about me getting my head chopped off. I'm still a bit freaked out about it.

It's when the nightmares don't really freak you out that you need help.

yes... but it is so freaky that if i start to type it down i will be terrified again. sorry, no more comments on that subject. PS The worst nightmare is the one that has a resonance with life while you are awake

Yeah. It's called sleep paralysis. It's where you are just waking up, you are conscious of where you are, but you are paralyzed. So anyways, what happened was I was lying in bed and I all of a sudden saw my door open. Satan was there. He creeped up to me and just sat hovering over me...just freakin the sh*t out of me. And all I could do is sit there. I was paralyzed. Luckily I woke up soon after. But it was so real. More real than a dream almost.

It really freaks me out when I have one of my prophetic dreams. I try really hard not to see what the dream is trying to show me. Sometimes I just have to look, though. And when what the dream showed me really happens, I feel like losing my mind. Why me?

no caps sorry gotta get this one out quick
i used to have a neighbor who boomed his bass in his car all the time
i couldnt stand him well he & his wife had a newborn that used to scream all day & night
one night i dreamed the baby was on the end of my bed
i woke up & took the baby in the other room away from my wife so she wouldnt wake up
i looked at it & then suddenly slammed it as hard as i could on the floor
i killed it
then i walked into my room & to the adjoining bathroom & looked into the mirror in the dark
my eyes started to melt & the sockets became black & droopy
i knew i was a deamon
i woke up & shuddered
i rolled over to my wife & went back to sleep
i did not get up to relieve myself for fear of what i might see in the bathroom mirror

I had a dream that two of my kids were murdered. That was the worst one since it was real, and even when I woke up I wasn't sure if it really happened.

I've also had numerous nuclear war dreams - they're not fun either.

My daughter when little watched that movie about the dolls that came to life. I think it gave her nightmares. To this day she doesn't like dolls. She says, "Their looking at her!"
