When people click their gum, does it sound to you like a person clipping their nails?

I HATE that sound & it hurts my ears. It sounds like that to me.

it sounds like they are about bite their tongue and I prepare myself to laugh, it is very annoying when they don't chew with their mouth closed

it just sounds like a bubble to me. i feel the same way with a wooden popsickle stick grinding against teeth.......
