If you have tried 2 different burning programs, and you have tried on two different machines, then it pretty much gets down to the media. I'm sure you know that Imation isn't the worlds greatest media. It really would help us to know what the error messages are. I've burnt using Imation with no problems....sometimes. Have you tried burning at a really slow speed ?

Try using a different burning program. If that doesn't help your burner my be broken. Check out troubleshooting steps for your specific brand of dvd-r. Also if drivers need updated, update them.

might help if you could post the error messages. Do you know if your DVD burner accept those specific DVDs?

i'm guessing the cds aren't big enough. if it says 700-800mb thats not big enough for a movie file. you can buy DVD cds that have like 4.7GB of space on them..

You probably have a CD ROM and not a DVD ROM. You will have to get one installed.
