Hello Speaking as A Soldier who fought in Operation Desert Storm I saw The Awful Horror of War firsthand. The only reason I am not in Iraq today is that the Iraqi Artillery Shell which landed 5 meters from me in Iraq sort of shortened my career with the US Army. Now on to my opinion War is the worst invention in Mankind's long history. The ONLY and I do Mean ONLY kind of War which can be justified is a War To protect yours or anothers country from invasion. It was a silly decision by a silly Government and as for the outcome you don't need my 2 cents to see how badly it's going do you?

It's not a war on the World of Islam...as a matter of fact, most Islamic people living in Iraq are glad the troops are there, they feel safe and secure. The outcome has been good so far, but still isn't great. There have been lots of mistakes.

However, we must take into consideration that the things happening in many African nations are far worse than what was happening in Iraq when the war started.

The reason why the US government was focused on the middle east was because of the oil, and not the "good of the people".

So far there are 3641 US military deaths http://icasualties.org/oif/ and the situation is a big mess. It doesn't look like a good outcome for anyone so far. Your question is not answerable because it is wrong. It is not a war on Iraq. The Iraq government is on the same side as the US. It is not a war on Islam, it is a war on terror. It just so happens that most of the terrorists these days claim to be Islamic.

Most of us wish the Iraq war would end. There is no war on Islam but on terrorists. I think getting rid of threatening weapons may have been justified but not an all out war. It needs to end and the Middle East should help seek a peaceful resolution. I hate the way the world just blames the US and does not help. It is everyone's problem.

It is more of a war on Islam, they started w Afghanistan, Iraq, and now planning on Syria n Iran. They won't stop until they steal all the Arabs and Muslim's oil. They are using the shield of terrorism but its a weak defense. Their soldiers are dying everyday and their people are frustrated w this decision "where is the People's voice as they claim"?? But we can only blame Arabs and Muslims for allowing the US to control us like this.

NO, I don't think it was a reasonable decision.I think George W. planned on going into Iraq before he was even elected, to avenge the hit Saddam had on his father,George Senior, when he was President, and to make all his friends rich. The war has done nothing but kill way too many people!

If Bush is waiting for all the terrorists to be extinguished then US troops will be in Iraq for 2000 more years.
