i got a new ac adaptor and it work perfect for a few day's. now i hav to put in the ac plug in a few time b4 the power goes threw!! any help !!! it's a hp zv5000 !

If you still have the receipt, return it to get another one. The adapter could be faulty. :(

The ac power adapter simply converts power from ac to dc so your laptop battery will charge.
I would check the battery if I were you, it may be time to replace it.
