Jesus God, I started a new day job nearly four months ago, and my boss incessantly digs for the gold while he's talking to me about project work. This past week he had a paper in his hand that needed signing, and he grabbed a pen off his desk WITH the same hand he was just picking with. I was mortified. Needless to say, after he dropped the pen back on my desk, I scooped it up with a tissue and threw it in the garbage.
Utterly revolting.

People that pick their nose have probably gotten comfortable with doing it, because they just don't care about offending you in your presence or anyones else for that matter. Their superiority is just a bit lower than your standards require. You could ask the individual not to do it in front of you. If he get's offended then move to a different location. Just don't stress out over it and you'll be fine.

Perhaps it's a nervous gesture. For instance, sometimes I glance down at my feet when I talk to people. Although it's odd, but someone might pick their nose when you're talking to them because they're nervous.
Or maybe you just know alot of disgusting people. *shrugs*
...No offense

If anybody does that, that's just rude and disgusting! I've only seen people pick their nose when they're stopped at a light or something...
