My name is Meghan. i am 17 years old, i am about 5"3', i have long light brown hair with blonde highlights, brown eyes, tan skin, i weigh about 117 pounds, and my least favorite part....i sort of have a big nose. i hate my nose. it makes me feel very self conscious. i think that i am very pretty everywhere else except there. my sister always brings up how big it is and it makes me feel very sad/angry. i know what it looks like, you dont have to keep telling me. i cant stand when people see me from the side. when i notice my boyfriend looking at me and my head is turned to the side, i hurry and look at him face to face. it doesnt bother him the way it looks, it just bothers me a lot. can someone help me with this? and no i cant afford a nose job right now but i hope and pray that i can get one someday. do i sound attractive at least? thanks!

your fine..you cant be perfect! my guy friend actually told me he liked big noses for some reason..& if your boyfriend doesnt care then you shouldn't..you have noone you need to impress if you have a boyfriend.

i have the same problem - my nose is not huge but i have this own inner insecurity with my nose and how it looks from the side ( i as well never let people see my profile). however, i think there is so much more to a persons face than a nose. some people i have known for a very long time and never really took the time to notice their nose. what i mean to say is, when someone looks at your face, they certainly are not just focusing in on your nose. they may notice it - but when you have the confidence to not care, no one else will either.

You do sound very attractive and for heaven's sake quit with the nose business!!! Honey, it is not all about looks, is it? Who are you? Are you a good person? Do you have charm and wit? Are you a generous and giving person? Then don't be hung up on the nose thing. It does not matter. And, look at Cher and Barbra Streisand. Both are beautiful and not the least bit self-conscious. Tell your sister you do not appreciate her trying to undermine your self-confidence and get your mom or dad as an ally to get her to stop. Did you know Barbra Streisand refused to have a nose job, because she said, "I wouldn't look like me." Now that is self-confidence and liking yourself for who you are.

well i think ur really gorgeous frm a guyz point of view.... i have a lot of frinds that get alot of guyz and they have big noses having a big nose doesnt make someone loook bad... and ur sister might be jeoluse of how preety u are and try to find something to hurt u.... and if ur bf dosent mind it than u really got nothing to worry about.... and when u grow up u have the money... and u think that its still bothering u then u could do a sergery on it but other then that big noses doesnt make a person ugly.....
also.... there are so many guyz that i know that like big nose gurlz there are gurlz that having a big nose matches em.... dont worry....

lol yes u do seem to be pretty. ur not the only out there who's like that. my friend is also very pretty and has a big nose too. and she hates hers too. but she got over it for the time being (i mean,she's too young to get a nose job) and it never shows that she self conscious. even with a big nose she is very cute. just put emphasize on ur other pretty traits. besides, u've got like 15 nice characteristics and only 1 that u don't like. so smile, it put attention elsewhere than ur nose :)

unless it really is that noticeable and huge that a stranger passing by would take a second look in amazement it sounds like your fine... my current girl friend and girls i ve found attractive have big noses doesnt bother me. i used to be so self concious about my weight cuz im too skinny and for a guy thats not good and i tried lifting for a period but i just decided i dont care and accepted it.

Get your sister back for giving you these insecurities. If my sister had just been quite about my phsical appearance I would be so much happier. I know, then I might look bad and not know it but it is better than always worrying about these things.
If your nose is your only physical downside, I would say you have got it good.

I've known a lot of women who think there noses are big but in all honesty I thought they looked ok and suited their face.
Take no notice of your sister she is probably jealous of you or she wouldn't need to put you down. And please don't get one of those 'pointy angle' hollywood noses.
If you really want to be sure send me a pic with your face in profile and I will give you an honest answer.

If I was a guy I'd say heck yeah!
NO one can make you feel inferior with out your permission., tell your sis to blow off. shes just trying to compensate for her own in inadequacies by making you feel bad. is she half as cute?
Don't let other people make you feel inferior. at your age EVERY ONE hates some part of their body and the nose is a real popular item to hate. its there. your going to be fine.

Its really hard to tell without seeing a picture, but Id say you need to out on about 15-20 lbs. Other than that you sound quite sexy.
