Why would they be? I have dated women of numerous ethnicities including my ex wife who is my little man's mother but I do it because I am attracted to or even love the woman not to advance some left wing social agenda. Look at people for who they are not for their race/ethnicity or what have you.

Yes, I agree. But, only if you are doing it because a particular person who happens to be your soul mate, also happens to have been born as a person of another ethnic make-up! The best example to set for humanity is to be your authentic self, and to love whom ever you authentically love, regardless of race, creed or gender! But, just in case someone reads something into this that I did not intend.... I don't believe that hate is a part of anyone's authentic selves. Hate is a learned behavior and is in no way natural to the soul. But, it is just as okay to date inside your ethnic group as it is to date outside it. The choice is up to the individual, and I don't believe that anyone has any right to judge any other person for which ever choice he or she makes in a significant other. *sm*

Yes I believe your statement makes good sense , I think it would also be nice if the same happened more often of people with different religious backgrounds as well . Both have been the root cause of many of the worlds wars . Anything which divides or segregates us from one another is a great hindrance to us all and inhibits mutual acceptance worldwide .

I never thought of it as setting an example for humanity. I think of it as dating someone I like and have something in common with. If they are outside of my ethnic makeup-it's only coincidental.

Ohh yeah.. it's awesome... you learn a lot about yourself, and the other person. Since both of you come from different parts of the world, you start to focus on the real beauty of the relationship and experiences. And dares you to observe yourself in relationship to whatever comes in your life.

He who doesn't feel, Is not real to me. Therefore, he doesn't exist. So poof vamoose you S.O.B.-Izzo

Schools should promote more students to go to other countries for 1yr or 2 to experience life outside their comfortable bubble. I'm sure relationship will be created, that would be awesome... I actually did that, for 2 yrs. And I loved every experience of it.

I have dated and made love to: a Japanese lady, 2 black ladies (Kenyan & American), a Vietnamese lady, an Italian lady, a large lady, a tiny lady, 'regular' size ladies, 3 older ladies (me/she: 15/43, 20/46, 29/57), blond, brunette, redhead, raven haired, a lady (pregnant) who I didn't know her name. I'm sure I left out some areas. I am an equal opportunity lover.

Never thought about it. I guess it can set an example.... then again there is no 100% pure ethnic group anymore

I like the way you phrase the question and I hope those who answer understand what you are saying. And they are setting examples of love through caring relationships.

I was really racist when I was younger (and very ignorant).
Now I am married to a wonderful Bangladeshi lady who is more important to me than the the rest of the world put together.

I've often thought that the only real "cure" for racism might be HUGE tax-breaks for those who breed outside their primary ethnic group. But it would be a terrible shame to lose all those different kinds of beautiful women...
