I would want to meet ARod. I am a diehard Tiger fan and if asked a few years ago I would say Alan Trammell but while i am not a huge Arod fan he has to be the most fascinating player to come along in a very long time. I would like to see what makes him tick. After all with the controversy that has surrounded him even as far back as the end of his high school career I want to know how he does what he does. It is human nature to let things we cant control effect each of us yet he faces remarkable amounts of scrutiny and still puts up monster numbers year after year. How he has escaped the steroid controversy amazes me, not that I think he has used but rather a media that doesnt seem to mind trying to convince us fans that whatever they say must be and all the ARod haters out there who find fault with every aspect of his life. I cant understand how he can put aside all the negativity that surrounds him and does what he does better than pretty much anyone in MLB (except the playoffs of course). I want to meet him first to see if he is even human and pick his mind for how he can do what he does under the microscope he is forced to do it under. He isnt my favorite ballplayer (I can think of 15 Tigers I like better plus 10-15 others I enjoy watching from other teams) but he is without question the player I respect most based on what he does between the lines given what he has to deal with outside them.

Milo Hamilton he is the anoucner for the Astros. You hear him everyday he is the guy who called Hank Aaron home run record. He's been covering baseball for 60 years. St Louis Browns, Chicago Cubs, Chicago Whitesox, Pirates, Atlanta Braves, and Houston Astros. He is always talking about baseball years ago during the games, Talking about Stan Musial, The days riding in the trains to different cities with ballplayers and stuff. I bet he has alot of good stories to tell. He also has a book out and its really really good.

Retired & passed away - Ted Williams - From interviews I've seen, he seemed like a wonderful person and loved talking about baseball and fishing.

Retired & still with us - Cal Ripken, Jr. - Had a great work ethic and basically helped bring the fans back to baseball after the 1994 strike.

Present - David Ortiz - Just seems like a fun guy to be around.

That's tough. There's so many great players, that you just want to talk them and see what it's like to talk to a Future Hall-of-Famer. And as a Red Sox fan, I would love to meet Lester, Papelbon, Pedroia, or Youkilis. But Ichiro and David Wright are my other favorite players...and Johan Santana, and Joe Mauer.........

I think I'm going to have to go with Eric Byrnes. I love the stuff he does for Fox. He's hilarious. He has my sense of humor, and he's a pretty good player (I voted for him in All-Star voting).

If we are talking about active players only, than Fred Lewis on the Giants. He'll be one of the better players on the team in the future and we share the same first name. IF it's all-time then Willie Mays because he could do almost anything in the feild and he was on the Giants

I would really like to meet Eric Byrnes, because he seems like a funny and smart guy who plays all of the OF positions for the D Backs. He also is a 20/20 guy and is one of few major leaguers who will grow his hair out.
