Houston is an amazing city for those who know their way around. It's not a city like Vegas, New York, or Los Angeles where attractions just POP OUT at you so when people say "I don't like Houston" without ever having lived here usually just don't know where to go and what to do.
The weather is pretty humid and is usually hot from around the end of march to the beginning of november.
The people are nice, there is a large variety.
Traffic can get pretty bad, but with the population well over 2million what can you expect?
There are many different areas to live in and explore so the possibilites are endless when it comes to the lifestyle you want to live there.

Houston is not the same as the rest of Texas. It rains a lot this year and is always hot 9 months out of the year. It is a big city with about 50% hispanic population now. People are generally friendly but it depends where you live.
Decide what you want and focus on an area of Houston. Stay west of I-45 for a good place to live.

Houston is ok. The traffic is bad, though. The people are nice enough and the weather varies greatly. It gets colder that most people would think it does, then hotter than blazes in the summer. You can go to the Gulf if you want to go to the beach. I believe it's an hour (or less) away.

I love it. The weather is hot, humid and it rains a lot. We have people here from all over the world. Being the 4th largest city in the US means we have pretty much the same stuff and any other major city.

The people are very friendly. The weather is HUMID and hot about 8 months out of the year. Great restaraunts, theater, live music, sports teams (Yea Dynamo!!) & schools. It took me awhile but I learned to like it coming from NYC.

i LOVE HOUSTON. i WAS BORN THERE AND iTS BiG. THERES SO MANY PLACES TO GO. iT FLOODS A LiTTLE WHEN iT RAiNS BECAUSE HOUSTON iS AT SEA LEVEL

houston is a teribble city to live in its gross and its humid and it rains everyday...i would say go live in san antonio its better
