I knew I couldn't have children ten years before I had the medical tests .... I was ... 'told'.
Let me first say that I am a logical person, not given to flights of fancy. This is the one and only supernatural experience (of this type) I have had.
It was about 8.30pm on an August Sunday evening. My former sister-in-law, her youngest daughter and I were walking back from church when suddenly the world faded out; there were no visions, no voices, that was it. I could see only ... 'whiteness'.
I don't think I even broke step but it seemed like minutes that I was 'out'. When everything got back to normal, I turned to the bairn and told her that she was the closest thing to a daughter I was ever going to have.
My sister in law looked at me, she knew that I had been getting obsessed with when I was going to have children. I'd prayed and prayed for an answer ..... she thought I was about to get upset again and started to comfort me.
But I had my answer. I wasn't going to have any of my own, better still, the hysteria had gone and I was totally at peace; happy even.
That was when I was 27, ten years later, I had tests for PCOS, PolyCystic Ovary Syndrome. The results were positive and one of the little nasties associated with this condition is infertility.
I've even tested My Revelation (as I call it) and dropped all contraceptives for a while. But I'll never be a mother as I've known for the past 14 years.

About 10 years ago, my sister and I, while visiting our grandpa in California, visited the Carmel mission with him and our cousin. As my sister, my cousin, and I walked by the old classrooms (where the priests taught) we heard a hard, snap-like sound in one room. It was too unusual to be a bird or door or person (as these rooms where closed from the public). My cousin peeked in a window, the sound stopped, and he saw nothing. Walking away, we decided the sound reminded us of slapped skin, of a ruler against skin.
Two years after that, my sister and I, back in Idaho, watched a haunted history special on A&E or History Channel or something like that and watched, to our surprise (we both jumped and looked at each other at the same moment) the Carmel mission go across the screen and the story that many tourists in the mission hear the cries of school children and related sounds, including prayer, crying, playing, and ruler slaps!
Can't say if we created the connection or not, or if it was mere coincidence, but it was sure spooky, only after the fact of course!

I live in a house that is very old, built in the 1790's or so.
1 - I went downstairs in the middle of the night to get a drink and i couldn't open the door to the kitchen, i was pushing and pushin it and it would onli open the tiniest bit, as if something was pushing it on the other side, and no there is no mats or anything that could of stopped it opening, it was just a normal tiled floor.
2 - My mum went into the bathroom to get towels out of the laundry basket, she went out and left them on the table and went in to get more and the door had closed and locked from the other side, she was the only one at home.
3 - I regurly here footsteps along my landing, but im used to it now.

At the place where I worked up to retiring a couple of months ago, I have had several "incidents",Each one the same. I was responsible for securing the building at night. I have often heard the laughter of a child, it has been quite distinct on each occasion,The first time or two I did a thorough search of the building, this laughter was not at all threatening in any way,I don't know what it was or anything, make what you will of it,what I've said is the truth !

I have never seen a ghost but in 2003 I went to see Most haunted Live in Manningtree Essex England. I stood outside the graveyard as the crew were there. I took photos & when I had them done there was a white mist right across the photo. No one was smoking near me (I would have moved away) so it wasnt that

I was spending the night at a friend's house. The house is over 150 years old, and was rumored to be haunted. That being the case, I never wanted to be by myself.
One night, we were playing video games (Mario Kart, to be exact), and after not-too-long I realized I was the only one awake. Being as late as it was (almost 5am), and against my instincts, I decided it was time to call it a night and turn off the TV -- the only source of light in the room.
I laid down on the couch, and not a minute later I heard this strange buzzing sound, followed by "BONG! BONG! BONG! BONG! BONG!" It turned out to be just the grandfather clock, but it still scared the crap out of me.
After I calmed down and started to get comfortable, I started to feel a tingly feeling in the back of my neck & on my head -- my hair was standing up. Seconds later, I hear a strange moaning sound coming from the foot of the couch. The sound oscillated kinda like a siren, but it was off-key, almost like an opera singer imitating a police siren. I looked at where it was coming from, and there was nobody there. Had there been, I would've seen their sillouette against the window. It lasted for about 30 seconds, and I just pretended to be dead the entire time. I still don't know what that was. If it were not for this instance, I would say I don't believe in ghosts.

I used to work in a night club, after hours one Saturday night all the bar staff where sat around drinking. The conversation turned to ghosts and one of the door men said that the club we all worked in was haunted. I said that was rubbish and I didn't believe in ghost, as I said it the speaker above me fell of the wall and landed on my head.
I promise you, not a word of that is a lie, so what do you make of that?

I once worked in a place that was haunted. Things would fly off the shelves for no reason, an unseen entity would pound on the doors and walls, and it was occasionally seen as a red-haired woman in a white dress.
