I just added a seven year old to my phone plan but I have unlimited service through a small company suncom which is in like nc sc and tn. I dont think there is an age on what is too young for a phone what do you hear when you turn on the news this child was shot this school had a shooting. I don't think there should be an age limit for a mother or father to feel secure in their childs safety. Tell them to find an unlimited phone company and get a free phone of any type.

well, there's the lg migo from verizon wireless w/the chaperone plan on which they pay a monthly fee to see where she's at, to restrict where she can use the phone and it can only dial 4 numbers and when every 2 years she's eligible to get a new phone w/a discount if she renews her contract, but if they don't have vzw and aren't willing to change carriers ask them to check w/their carriers because more then likely they have some sort of parenting package like that.

10 y.o is way 2 young to have a cell phone. wait till middle school. a 4th-5th grader does not need a cell phone. but if u rly want a phone add a line on ur parents plan, n if they dont have a plan get a vzw family plan.

Nothing. IMHO a ten year old doesn't need a cell phone.

They oughta wait till she is in her mid-teens. Ten years old is rediculous.

You are kidding . . . . . right?
Wait until she is 18 and let her buy her own phone.
