I can put my hands infornt of my like im about to do a cartwheel and jump my legs over my head, but then i land on my back, and it sorta looks more like im trying to do a handstand unstead lol, how do i turn this into a cartwheel??? THANKS!!!!!!!!

If you are trying to do a side cartwheel turn so that the side that is going into the cartwheel first is facing the direction you wish to go.

If you are trying to do a 1/4-in-1/4-out cartwheel you do face head on but at the very last second you turn your torso to land in that famous right-left or left-right position. But don't bother with this type of cartwheel if you have not mastered the side cartwheel yet. Just keep working on those until they are perfect, then add these.

To do a cartwheel, it is a side motion. Start with bending exercises trying to touch your hand to the floor just to the side. Then make your movement as a walk over, but sideways. eventually you will be able to kick your legs up above your body. then land 1 leg at a time till you are standing again.

When I'd do a cartwheel (I'm almost 40 now) I would do what is something like a windmill effect: put one hand down, then another, then one foot then the other. Do not put both hands or both feet down at the same time. Hard to explain really, easier to show in person. Good luck!

Instead of trying to go 'forward' try to thing that you are going sideways. put out you arms and legs like you are doing a jumping jack and then try to go sideways onto your arms. Its a crude way to do it but once you get the momentum, you can change you style later.

depending on if your a righty or lefty
but if your a righty

stick your right leg in front of your left like your going to do a split. hold your arms abover your head

lift your right leg up and hurdle it forward, bring your right arm down to the ground

when your arm gets there push off the ground with your right leg, and bring your left arm down,

then lift your left up and over, and bring it down next to your right leg(your right arm should be up by this point)

if your a lefty do it the opposite way

sry yet doing cartwheels in a pool is greater durable then on the floor!! neways. you reported u had a great number of muscle....nicely use that muscle to kick your ft off the floor. ummm, for novices start up via merely particularly kicking your ft up and merely save on working your way up at last u might have your legs each and each of how up! and for the touchdown on your butt section, you ought to get your palms off the floor quicker, u might desire to sprain ur wrist if u dont, and merely artwork on yuor stability! desire this permits!!=^)
