Bonfire and movies sounds great. If you are with your friends then you will have a blast no matter what.

Sweet 16 parties are always lame, by virtue of the fact that turning 16 is nothing special, except possibly if you live in one of the states where 16 is the age of consent for sex.

It's just an excuse for girls to throw their parents' money away on an extravagant party well beyond what should be expected of a birthday party.

I would do something you and your friends would like. I just celebrated my 14th birthday and we all went out to dinner at red robbins and spider mad 3 movie. I then had my friends stay after dinner and movies and we had a sleep-over. Well except for my friends who had to leave for personal reasons. Do something you and your friends will like. I'd do a bonfire for my 16th, thats not a bad idea.

thats not lame its actual better than throwning a party cause you use less money and you spend you B-day with people you care and actually talk to not people you say "hi" then walk off.
