What is the best cell phone for a ten year old? My friend works with this girl and her daughters have firefly phones but they don't work well.

i would get her the disney phone that only calls a select few numbers. like- mom dad grandmom 911

something simple that can be dropped, spit on, full of peanut butter, and dipped in the pool, and dont waste time or money on getting the camera, bluetooth, speakerphone, or internet connectivity. She's a 10y/o she shouldnt even need a phone but with the freaking stalkers and rapers and kidnappers...and of course the 5 year olds that think they are 21 and think they actually own themselves. make sure it has 911 GPS location on at all times....and the phone would depend on the carrier i.e. verizon, sprint, alltel, t-mobile....

nothing...........why does a 10 year old need a cell phone? But.........alas I know its the peer pressure......I know.......so try out the Disney thing. It has a GPS locater so you can know where your child is at all times. Man.....Where were all these cool things when I was a kid!
