1. It's A Wonderful Life...Always tears me up at the end
2. Casablanca.....More classic phases than any other movie
3. Raider's Of the Lost Ark: Classic serial cliffhagers make for 2 hours of non-stop fun!
4. Rocky: Classic underdog story is timeless
5. Aliens (2nd one) Sci-fi horror at its best!

#1 Gone With The Wind...seems to be the most famous movie ever.
#2 Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs... First full length animation
#3 The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly... last one of Clint Eastwood's spaghetti western trilogy... these three changed a lot in modern film making
#4 Star Wars episode 4 "A New Hope"... this movie surpassed life elsewhere in space idea better than Star Trek
#5 Pirates of the Caribbean the first one... this movie has made movie watching fun again. I did like the 2 sequels too

there is no way you can take all the different types of movies and come up with the 5 greatest.....most lists have the top 100 movies of all times and they cant even agree.....
