Yeah, more than likely, it's not a good idea. But, you can always hand wash something. If you have a hand wash cycle, you could use that. Be gentle with it. Pretreat it and let it soak in lukewarm water with gentle detergent (like wool-lite) and just work with it by hand. Let it hang dry. You should probably be okay. If it has sequins or stuff like that on the outside, turn the bag inside out (if you can). If it is leather, do NOT wash it at all. Hope this helps.

look at the material, and compare it to something with the same material and wash it according to those instructions
