My city at the end of the year will lose its afternoon paper due to declining circulation and the end of a joint printing agreement between the two papers. With the internet and the advent of 24 news on cable is that of particular concern for any of you who have seen similiar problems or do you see the papers as part of our past.

Point is having two editorial staff for most of us to look at issues differently. Even some news events are reported differently when you have two papers as I can remember on issues here like our airport and education issues.

My biggest thing was the lack of competition and the need for the editorial differences in two papers. Only papers can really give you the editorial page.
