I have 8 goldfishes

Can u also breed with a differnt kind of goldfish? I have 5 comets and 3 finned tailed goldfishes

Depending on how big they are, you might not be able to tell yet - and you can only tell the difference when they're in spawning condition. This website has photos of the two best characteristics to use - the tubercles on the male's gill covers and finds, and the shape of the vent: http://www.bristol-aquarists.org.uk/goldfish/info/sexing-fs.htm Outside of spawning, they all look the same.

I have some gold fish myself and the only way you can tell is to wait until they try to breed the male will get white and or black spots on the edge of his gills and front fins. You have to look closely to see these spots. you may want to check this site out in order to learn more about your particular breed of goldfish

goldfishes u cant tell until breeding season, the males will grow bumps on their gill plates and perctoral fins.

they at least have to be 5 years old to breed and the way you can tell is that the female will be fatter than the male the male will have a slim look and will not be as fat as the female

I think you have to look under it.or so..... or the shape or size of the fish.
