Your printhead is plugged.

Run several cleanings, printing a nozzle check in between each cleaning. If you see an improvment between two nozzle check patterns, keep cleaning.

Be warned, it is possible to use up an entire set of ink cartridges to unplug an Epson printer that has been sitting around a while.

I would say that with it being 2nd hand it has been stood for a while and the nozzles are blocked just keep running a clean cycle.
but what i may look at doing is going to a Cartridge world where you should be able to get an old cartridge filed with cleaning fluid and just keep running that through for a while then you are not waisting you new cartridge and ink.
I hope this helps

Have you installed the drivers for the printer? Are all cables connected properly? If answer is yes to those questions, try printing a test page, doing a head clean etc. What does the printer do when you hit print? Does it make any noise or any lights flash? Need more info to give better answer really. I have the C62.

I am being serious, ... Is the power on? I've done that before and after holding 15 minutes for customer service that was the problem.
