Which is better an AMD Athlon 64 FX or an AMD Athlon 64 X2?

the FX on paper ... but the X2 can be just as good if u have the ryt settup ... i overclock an X2 to FX speeds ..

Actually the highest 64 X2 is better. When the FX was first released it was the fastest, at 2.8Ghz, but since then AMD has released newer faster versions of the Athlon 64 X2 to compete with the Core 2 Duos. The fastest currently available is the Athlon 64 X2 6000+, at 3.0Ghz.
