I've been waiting for this side to bring it for some time now, one of my all time favorite European clubs. Owen and Viduka, I hope will be in perfect form. I think they'd be a good "Cup" team like Liverpool. Domestic cups, that is.

Better don't bet on it..Newcastle has been bogged by bad luck season after season. I don't see them getting out of the slum.
One thing for sure, they do not have players who can get away with injuries!!

Why in the world would you want to have Viduka in the starting lineup? he is an overweight and lazy footballer! You should be pairing Martins and Owen instead...

Well Newcastle did the most important this season, they got rid of the useless TITUS BRAMBLE! and with Big Sam in charge, yeah you'll do well in the cups i think...

No, it never is. I'm a lifelong Newcastle fan, and I know that they will only ever build you up to let you down. They have signed only half of the players they need this season, and I read this morning that Big Sam is only going to be given £10m to spend this summer, and that includes wages for the players he wants. With the average footballer earning around £2-3 million a year, this is going to make it very difficult to sign any players, and pretty much impossible to sign the good players neccessary to make a challenge for European qualification or any kind of honours. It is very worrying; we have a billionaire owner but no money... what's the point of that?

You never know with Newcastle. They always seem to have a lot of talent in the squad but never really works out.

I hope they'll have a good season because the Toon Army are among the best fans in England.
