one of the best book series i have ever read! brilliant!
i wouldnt say that she should write a whole other novel in a few years time, but maybe she could write just short stories about the kids that the main characters had.
i just feel that if she tries to add onto the series then she will get critcized for it.

I think that the books at the beginning of the series were much better than books 5 and 6, but book 7 was very good. I think that this may be because she was writing for them to eventually be turned into movie, but I still appreciate the series and think she is a talented author. Also it is time for the HP series to end completely, and she should start writing other books or another series.

Hiya,
i started out by reading the Harry Potter books to my boys when they were 6 and 7. As they got older and could read to themselves i carried on buying the books for me to read, Until it got to the stage that I too would stand outside books shops at midnight waiting for the new book to be released. The books were harmless escapism and very well written, it was so very easy to get lost in the stories until hours had pasted instead of minutes. However its the end of an era and to be honest i think that should be the end of the HP stories there was a natural conclusion in the last book and personally i feel it should be left there.

I love Harry Potter series!
The plot is more and more addictive with every book: the story begins quite in style of kids' novel and later it gets darker and more interesting...
I think she shouldn't write any more HP books (she only said she'll write some sort of encyclopedia), and she probably wouldn't continue with 8th book- it would be less intriguing, I mean Voldemort's gone so writing more would be like stretching it beyond limits.

I thought the first three books were brilliant but found books 4 and 5 extremely tedious. Book 6 perked things up but the last one was a bit of a mixture. It was really very static and there was far too much jaw jaw and squabbling. It didn't really get moving until about page 400 but from then on it was pretty exciting. JK could have done with more editing in her last 4 books.

I think the Harry Potter storyes are very good and that she may write something in the future with more about the end or during the books that we didnt now.

i think how she put the story together was very clever.
with lots of twists and turns throughout the series, its the best book series i've ever read.
but i suppose she couldn't carry on Harry Potter cos it would have got boring, i hope she make other books and if she doesn't then good for her, shes come a long way and its good that shes become richer than the Queen cos personally, i think she deserves every penny of it.

I don't know. Going on with the series seems....idk. How do you top it? It would be too boring just talking about his kid's lifes - she would have to invent a new bad guy and I think harry has had enough of those.

EXCELLENT! I answered a question a wee while ago and said that I thought JKR may right about Albus Severus - since he seems to be the child most like Harry. Can't wait - hope she writes it while I've still got all my faculties - I'm 54.
