Okay. Why is it that when people shoot a gun at Superman, just lets the bullets bounce off his chest...Yet when the bad guys get all frustrated and throw the gun at him, he ducks!?

I would think that bullets would be a little more harmful than a gun being thrown at you, don't you think?

They have been asking this question for decades. Ever since the original TV series w/ George Reeves, we've wondered what made the gun more dangerous than the bullets. I tell my kids that the guns are made of Kryptonite:) Don't really know why but it's funny as hell:)

Because it's really easy to use "movie magic" to make bullets bounce off his chest, but if a gun catches an actor in the face, they have to stop shooting until his lips heal.

I think it has more to do with the size of the object coming towards him. A bullet is small and fast, a gun is large and slower, so that it's easier to see. Natural instrict would be to duck out of the way of something hurling thru the air at you.

I think the more relevant question is, if the bad guys already know the bullets don't do anything, why bother throwing the gun?

Sight your source? I've been reading and watch Superman my whole life. I can't remember seeing him duck except in the old B/W TV show.

I personally have never witnessed him flinching from a thrown gun, but if you have, I would simply chalk it up to the simple humanOID (he's not originally from earth, remember!) instinct to DUCK!
