well.... Pick black shirts or pants with CUTE DESIGNS on them.. or like a funny saying on the shirts.
Uhmm.. nice cuts would make it look nice. Like.. a black halter top is prefered over a regular black t-shirt with nothing on it. ;)
Uhmm... jewelry always makes things more flattering. Long pendant necklaces with cool colors on it.....or a bracelet, ....or a silver ring. ^^
Earings are cute too.
Do your hair too! Put your hair up in a ribbon... or make the beachy looking waves^^
Also... nice shoes. BRIGHT shoes. lol. like... neon blue flats. Or silver/gold flats. Or nice high heels... or red pumps...
THE CHOICES ARE ENDLESS! Just... wear bright colors for jewlery, showes, hair, and a nice pretty lip gloss. Maybe...light pink?
Get your nails done in a nice pretty shade too.
AND... smileeeeeeeeeeeeeeee xD

You don't look goth just by wearing a black shirt with black pants. That's a really dumb label and generalization. I saw Aly and AJ in something like what you're thinking about. Wear a white belt or something. Just add some color. It's common sense, you shouldn't have to ask.

I am an interpreter for the deaf, and as a requirement , I have to wear dark clothing, so that my pale hands are easy to see against the dark background. I've had to wear alot of black and this is how I do it. I wear a sash or a cool belt with it, if you choose a belt, don't do one with metal on it, a little color is good, I have a black sash that I wear and tie to slightly to the side. It has different colored polka-dots on it that help liven it up a little and give it a classy look.
You might be able to find one at somewhere like target. A solid color one would work too, pretty much anything would work on a sash for that. So pick your color and dress up the black just a little, you could also wear similar colored jewelry to accent it just a little.

ok well i get what you mean as i have the same problem as well...i love wearing the colour black but my mums always moanin at me because she thinks im going to become n goth when im not......the colour black represents alot of things one of them is elegance....the colour can make you look smart depending on wht you wear and look elegant.....thats why i wear it ...it makes me look elegant .....this obviously depends on what you wear....theres no point going out the door wearing skin tight jeans and a black top saying i love being a goth written all over it.......so make sure what ever you are wearing looks gud and doesn't look anything what an goth would wear so then you wouldn't look like an goth.......also how you accsessories matters too

Soft pretty makeup, silver hoop earrings, not alot of jewelry. I love black clothes and am not goth or look anything like that. Add color with shoes and purse.

A bright belt and matching headband and black shoes with a bright print similar to the color of the belt and headband should look great.

Goth is just as much about an attitude as it is about clothes; if you're not Goth, you're not going to look like one no matter what you wear.
