I bet there are not very many repeat offenders. I like the idea of a severe punishment for theft, as a matter of fact America had similar laws for theft not more than 100 years ago. The only difference is that we hung the thief instead of cutting off a hand. I dont like the idea of forcing women to wear anything they dont want to (the less the better in my book) but how about we cut off the hand of repeat drunk drivers? No too cruel? There is such a thing as being too soft on criminals, of course if any country were to enact such severe laws i would hope that they have a very good justice system as a false conviction would be a serious thing. I do find i funny that you would use their system of punishment to deride a group of people especially when we in the west had as bad or worse punishments up until very recent history. And, in fact we still put people to death here in America.

Sharia law is excessive and abusive of human rights, and should not be the law anywhere in the world.

MAY THERE NEVER BE A TIME FOR THAT!!! what we need is to be able to worship or not worship with the worshippers not cramming their religions down our throats.
