If your husband or wife went crazy and tried to kill you and your child, could you forgive them, if you knew they were still a good person and didn't really mean to do it? I think ideally you should get a divorce but get help for them too and be there for them, I'm not sure if I would forgive or not, I might be too scared.

I know that I could never forgive someone like that or live with them for that matter . I would be hesitant to even be around them. good luck .

While I believe in second chances and forgiveness I would have to say I would need a divorce after this. My childs safety and well being would take priority. Im not sure how I could forgive someone who tried to harm my child.

I could never forgive. And they could never be allowed access to my child. We all have choices. Chris Benoit chose to put things into his body, and as a direct result he went off his rocker and killed his beautiful wive and innocent child. He had a choice and he made the wrong choice. Now, two special people are gone and their close friends and family are left to suffer. Unforgivable if you ask me. And that is why it is better that he is gone too.

If you are talking about your husband and child then you need to run not walk. I would never forgive my husband if ever tried to hurt my child. When you have a child it's not about just you anymore. Or even him anymore.

That is one of those deal breaker situations. I don't care why he tried to kill me and my children, if he was unsuccessful and we were able to escape, there is no way in hell I would forgive him, nor would I be there to support him in his time of "need". What kind of person is a good person, but tries to eliminate his whole family? I don't get that.

NO anyone that would hurt a child should be locked away and forgoten about. yeah make sure they get help so they dont hurt someone else and their child ... if someone tryed to hurt my child i would never forgive them. how could you?

i would forgive him and get him help but never sleep with him or fall a sleep around him and the trust would go down down down hill.
