The people - all colors and nationalities - and ethnic food are the two things I miss most.

Best part? The lakefront, the parks, the museums, Shedd Aquarium, the restaurants, the theaters, the gorgeous skyline, the people, the Magnificent Mile, the delightful spas, the unbelievable shopping, the great zoos, the Chicago Botanical Garden, Navy Pier, Taste of Chicago, Printer's Row Book Fair, the concerts, baseball, football, soccer, basketball, I can go on and on and on. Everywhere I've been to, and that's A LOT of places all over the world, Chicago is like a breath of fresh air for me.

Having lived on the East Coast before (I'm a native resident of Illinois) the best part of Chicago are the friendly people.

Chicago has everything. From the lakefront to Downtown there is so much to do here. The food is GREAT!!! Any type of food you can think of we have it here. The diversity is something you can't buy anywhere else. We have over 5 Pro Sports Teams (Bears, Bulls, Cubs, White Sox, Blackhawks, Fire(soccer)). Our city is very clean, and is changing daily. There is so much about Chicago that I can't explain it all, you just have to come here and visit.

Wow...good question! I think for me, the best part was the ethnic diversity. I mean, when it comes to diverse residents, you name it...Chicago's got it.
I went to school with kids from Ethiopia, Greece, Russia, Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, Armenia, Turkey, Philipines, Cambodia, Vietnam, China, Korea, India, Mongolia, Nigeria, Yugoslavia (as it was known then), Mexico, Puerto Rico, Jamaica...
I could keep going, but you get the idea. It makes for a very interesting city, not to mention GREAT FOOD!!!!

It's so clean! When went to New York, I was sick wit hthe pollution. The mayor and his wife have been really big on planting flowers and trees and making tons of parks. And Chicago accents are so cool to hear!

The sheer number of things to do. I mean, just yesterday there was a huge boat parade on the lakefront and one of the most spectacular fireworks shows I've ever seen - and it was all free.

Without a doubt, it's the diversity of people and the rich cultures. This lead to some of the best ethnic foods (Chinese, Greek, Thai, Korean, Italian, India, Pakistani and many others). You also get to meet so many different people and learn so much from them and their cultures.

Great place. Born and raised!!
