Car temp. is going up (~100^C) everytime engine is @ low idle (on stop sign or light). When I drive on freeway it goes down. I consulted my friend mechanic and he said that my fan clutch is not working properly. My thermostat is opening and water pump is great. I suggested that radiator flush might help but he said hell no. Let me know what you think. Car has 142K V6 3.2L.

if i were you ill remove the clutch fan and put some electric fan on it, this will increase the power of your engine because the clutch fan adds some stopping action to the crankshaft, i forgot what s the right word for that. and if your rpm is at for example 800 your fan rotates also that rpm. but if you put electric fan on it, even when youre at low rpm your fan rotates fast.
