Will light colors show up on black t-shirts when applied from iron on transfer paper?

No, light colors will not show up. You need special transfer paper to transfer to black or colored shirt. Think about it . There is no white ink in your printer. Whatever is white in your picture will be the color of the shirt.

If the colors have an opaque and or a white background they will show up pretty well.
