As in my preivous questions about an oscar, I cannt have one in a 180litre tank, So can i have 2 jack dempseys in a 180 litres tank (ALL THERE LIFE - NOT UPGRADING)

And are they hardy fish?

They are hardy and yes you could have a pair of Jack Dempseys in a 180 liter aquarium. You could get a male and female and even try breeding them eventually.

Jack Dempsey should be alright in your tank.With a 55 gallon tank there are lots of cichlids you could choose from.This web site has much information about cichlids and plenty of profiles including Jack Dempsey.

your tank is a 50 gallon tank with our standards
And you're suppose to put only one of them into a 55 gallon tank

they will be fine, they are smaller and better to look at than oscars.
