If it is told to me it is a secret...You don't acheive Madam status if you can't be trusted.

No because whoever told you that specific secret wants it to
REMAIN secret, he or she trusts you so if u open your mouth to someone else then it's not a secret anymore. But it depends if it's your secret and so if you tell someone then maybe it is not a secret anymore unless you trust that person to keep it a secret among yourselves.

If nobody knows it then it's not a secret. It's an unknown fact. Someone has to know for it to be a secret.

Yes it can, only the secret is between you and them...It stays a secret until the person who originally told it finds out everyone else knows it.

Yes, it's called minimizing the damage you've done. How much worse would it be if you kept telling more people. A lot. You might even track down the people the one you told told and tell them to keep it quiet. Follow the grapevine until people start saying they didn't tell anyone and you might be out of hot water.

it depends on the secret...if it is something damaging & can hurt others then it's not really a secret..you are just giving out the warning...
but if somebody trusted you with something & you put it all out on the open..then no the secret just slipped out & you can't take it back...
