Simply google convict cichlid there are about 65,000 sites.
I can tell you from personal experience that convicts are hardy, and spawn easily. The males have longer and sharper shaped dorsal and anal fins. The females fins are more rounded and they usually will have a pink rounded abdomen when they are in breeding condition. They are a dwarf cichlid, but are very aggressive, and will defend their broods, and territory ferociously. They will easily form breeding pairs. I had one pair in a 29 gallon tank within 6 months I had over 200. I have had to give them away to any of my friends who would take them. I have also traded many to local pet stores for store credit.

it is vital American and you're suitable. African species desire a plenty harder water at a similar time as vital and S. American choose a delicate water. at a similar time as you are able to strengthen vital and S. American fish in difficult water (mine is 8.a million) quite convicts, it is not their terrific ecosystem. Shortens their lives and the probabilities of breeding to a classic length is small.
