I love it, and have loved it ever since my teacher first read it aloud to us in 7th grade. My textbook had a gorgeous illustration of it, and he read it with perfect cadence.

It's still a favorite of mine- there's something about the story that is so beautiful and haunting, and the poetry is divine, right from the start: "The moon was a ghostly galleon tossed upon cloudy seas.". The image sticks with me.

I do enjoy it. If I remember correctly there were both silent and talkie versions of the poem done as screen plays. The silent actually had the Poem in the dialogue cards shown on the screen.
